Andersson Handbook Keeper of the Museum of För Foldera Fer Eestern Antiquitis FÄRS stern Antiquities Eretna Stockholm ONDERWERP : Sweden Dear Sir, In have read with much pleasure your letter dated March 28th inst. addressed to Dr.J.Stroomberg, Chief Division of Commerce, Buiten- Zzorg. I must first inform you that the sabove-named gentleman has long since left Government Service so that I beg you infuture to address your correspondence regarding the publications of the Bureau of Commerce to the Handelsnuseum (Commerciel Nuseum) of the Department of Economic Affsirs - Batavia C., Java. As to the Handbook of the Netherlands Indies, 1930 edition, I wes much eleted by reading your generous approvel of this publication EWhich you were good enough to express in your letter. -I am however sorry to have to inform you that no new editions have appeared since the 1930 one. The publication of such a book being rather a costly affeir, there is no telling when a new Handbook in the same style mey again be published by our Department, while the older issues are all out of print. I am however happy to forward a copy of the 1930-edition as well as a few other publicationscapable of interesting your readers, by same mail to your address as en acquisition for the library of your Museum, while I have noted the name of your Institution on our mailing list för any publications which might be at special interest to the readers of your Library. As fer as your Bulletin is concerned, I tnink the Batavisasch Genootschap van kunsten en wetenschappen will be a better judge as to distribution of same throughout our Archipelago as I understand the subjects handled therein are more of an archaeologicel nature. Wishing you due receipt of our Handbook, which will be sent by same mail under separate cover Youre very sincerely, (P. van Emst)
