Director : Sir Percival David, Bt. Secretary: W. R. M. Lamb, C.V.O., M.A. rg PICCADILLY, Fes LONDON, W.1 DC. l7th October, 1935. Dear Professor Andersson, The Swedish loans for the Exhibition which you have sent from Stockholm have all been unpa&ked and found to be in order except for the following matters:- (1) The sword belonging to H.R.H. The Crown Prince (No. 8902) was found to be slightly chipped on one side. As no pieces could be found in the packing, it is assumed that this damage existed before the work was packed. From the appearance of the damaged part also, it is judged that the damage is not new. (2) Dr. Lagrelius has sent only six mirrors instead of the seven entered on his form. No 958 was not included. (3) We have received from the Malm8 Museum a spear-head in addition to the flat-sided vase and the silver inlaid tube which were asked for. I have sent receipts to all the owners individually except the Crown Prince. The receipt for his loans is enclosed herewith and I shall be obliged if you will kindly see that it reaches the person who should receive it. I am very glad that everything in connection with the packing and shipping has gone off so well, and we are deeply grateful to you for your most valuable help. I may add that the careful and effective way in which all the objects were packed was much admired by everyone here. Yours sincerely, kun Saved Secretary. Professor I.G. Andersson, Ostasiatiska Samlingarna, Sveavägen 65, STOCKHOLM. ENC.
