Cleaning and conservation report. D-nr 16455013, 950108. Condition: dirty with dust, sand. It is mechanically deformed (recently?); thin walls have cracked in many places, and 2 larger fragments are missing due to the cracking. Most of the surface is covered with uneven, grainy, hard, blue/green to bright green corrosion. Underneath there is grainy, hard blue/green to bright green corrosion. Underneath there is partially preserved original surface - dark, yellowish green (on the inside of the bowl's bottom ) or dark brown/green, hard, very smooth. Above described corrosion layers have chipped off around some places with most mechanical damage and cracks, exposing either red/brown copper oxide or metallic surface. There is no active corrosion. Conservation treatment: cleaned mechanically with scalpel, small soft rotating bristle and steel brushes, under magnification. Cracks are consolidated with 25% Paraloid B 72 in acetone and Paraloid B 72 glue. Surface is varnished with 10 % Paraloid B 72 in ethanol.
