  • Cast in one piece. Slightly rim-flanged hilt ends in nearly complete oval extending down over shoulder of blade to midrib, known as "open crescent" ricasso. Blade has sharp shoulders with square corners, widening slightly below ricasso and tapering to sharp point. Raised, pronounced narrow midrib to point.
