Plain rim; rounded body, tapering downwards; roughly horizontal, horseshoe shaped handles at rim; short, wide stem; ring base in two degrees; grooved underside with central nipple. Yellowish red clay (?); black glaze with metallic sheen on inside and misfired to greenish grey on one side of body; ochre wash; red, yellow and white paint. On one side of rim a band of white, dotted egg-pattern, the eggs outlined by incision, between incised lines; below this a row of white dots (almost erased) and further below a rosette; two white ivy wreaths with incised stems hanging from the incised line above (leaves almost erased); on the other side of the rim a band of white, dotted egg-pattern, the eggs outlined by incision, between incised lines; below this a band of white and red zigzag lines between incised lines; below a row of white dots; on body a white grapevine with red stem, two branches hanging down from the horizontal stem; in the centre a dove holding a yellow wreath; stem and area immediately above reserved; reserved centre on underside.
