Scarab, crinkly edged clypeus, well worked head. Prothorax and elytra separated by incised lines. The elytra is divided by such lines. The underside has incised spirals. Three pairs of legs are visible in profile. Threading hole running lengthwise through the piece.

Many different kinds of symbols were used as amulets. They were placed between the layers of mummy wrappings, where they would protect the dead and help him to an eternal life.
The djed pillar symbolised stability and is related to the spine of Osiris. The shape of the symbol was taken from the lower vertebrae of a bull.
The scarab was an important symbol for re-birth and transformation. It also represented the new-born morning sun.
The eye of Horus stood for protection, primarily healing powers. The eye is a combination of a human eye and the markings of a falcon.The heart was depicted as a vessel. The Egyptians believed that one thought with the heart. Everything a person had thought and done was preserved there.
The papyrus plant represented the colour green, which in turn was associated with new life and rejuvenation.
The headrest had an important symbolic meaning. In the Book of the Dead “to lift up the head” was a paraphrase for re-birth.
The Isis knot was connected with welfare and life. It is not known what it actually depicts.

Många olika symboler användes som amuletter. De lades mellan lagren av mumielindor, där de skulle skydda den döde och hjälpa honom till ett evigt liv.
Djed-pelaren symboliserade stabilitet och förknippades med Osiris ryggrad. Symbolens form kan härledas till de nedre ryggkotorna av
en tjur.
Skarabén var en viktig symbol för förvandling och återfödelse. Den representerade samtidigt den nyfödda morgonsolen.
Horus-ögat stod för beskydd, framför allt läkande och helande krafter. Ögat är en kombination av människoöga och markeringar som finns hos falkar.
Hjärtat avbildades som ett kärl. Egyptierna föreställde sig att man tänkte med hjärtat. Allt en människa hade tänkt och gjort lagrades där.
Papyrus-växten stod för färgen grön, som i sin tur förknippades med föryngring och nytt liv.
Huvudstödet hade en viktig symbolisk betydelse. I Dödsboken används uttrycket ”att lyfta upp huvudet” som en omskrivning för att återfödas.
Isis-knuten förknippades med välgång och liv. Exakt var den föreställer är okänt.
