Kokunimasa Utagawa (1874–1944) was a Japanese woodblock printmaker of the Utagawa School. Active across the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa periods, he produced prints depicting key historical events such as the Sino-Japanese and Russo-Japanese wars, as well as natural disasters like the tsunami of 1896. His works illustrate both the resilience of traditional ukiyo-e and the public demand for timely, topical imagery during a rapidly changing era in Japan.
