Presentation of the civics class

My teacher asked us to paint a picture that presents our understanding of laws. As team leader, I suggested we choose LGBT as our topic. We painted a 6-colored flag, each color containing one written key word. They are Human Rights, Happiness, Aspiration, Equality, Peace, and Freedom.
Some classmates sneered at me before I presented it, making me nervous. Momentarily, I saw the line “Use this book with confidence and courage from your heart” in a book nextby. I stood up and presented. My message was everyone, including LGBT, has the same rights.
My teacher said “I know some of you laughed, but how many of you have the courage to talk about this topic.” We received the highest score for the assignment. I felt proud of myself.
