이 병은 반구(盤口)형의 구연에 바깥으로 벌어진 짧은 목을 가졌다. 물방울 모양의 기형으로, 측면이 완만한 곡선을 이루며 동체의 아랫부분으로 내려가면서 둥그스름하게 풍만해지다가 다시 좁아지며 넓은 굽으로 이어진다. 몸체에서 굽으로 이어지는 부분에 음각선이 있다. 태토의 바탕색에 투명하고 푸른 기가 도는 유약이 씌워져 이 병의 유조(釉調)는 옥빛과 같은 우아한 옅은 녹색으로, 유약이 두껍게 입혀진 부분에서는 담청색을 띤다. 굽 접지면에는 모래 받침이 남아 있다.

구연 일부에 금이 간 곳에 옻칠로 접합하거나 메워 그 위에 금을 칠하여 수리했는데, 이는 일본에서 개발되고 사용된 도자기 수리 기법으로써 이 병이 과거에 일본에서 소장되었을 가능성이 있음을 알 수 있다. 숙련된 솜씨의 수리로 흠이 있는 도자기에 새롭게 예술적이고 미적인 특질을 부여하기도 하는데, 흠을 완전히 감추기 보다는 유물의 조형성의 중요한 부분으로써 드러내는 것이다.

This bottle has a dish-shaped mouth that cuts sharply into the flared neck. The waterdrop-shaped body has gently curved sides that bellies-out in the lower part of the vessel, before curving inward to the wide foot. The foot slightly undercuts the body. The greenish-tone of the clear glaze renders the colour of this undecorated bottle an exquisite jade-like light green that appears almost bluish where it runs thick. The footrim is covered with kiln grit.

A crack at the mouth has been repaired with gold lacquer. This method to repair ceramics (Japanese: kintsugi) originated and was applied in Japan, which implies that the bottle was likely in a Japanese collection in the past. The skilful gold lacquer repairs often give a blemished ceramic piece a new artistic and aesthetic quality. Rather than covered up, the blemish is highlighted as an integral part of the aesthetic appearance of an object.

Den här vinflaskan har en skålformad mynning som tvärt övergår i en svängd hals. Den vattendroppsformade kroppen har mjukt böjda sidor som sväller ut längre ner innan de svänger in mot den vida foten. Foten är något indragen från kroppen. Den här odekorerade flaskans grönaktiga vita glasyr ger en vacker jadelik grön färg som går åt blått på ställen där glasyren ligger tjockare. Fotringen är täckt av bränningssand.

En spricka på mynningen har lagats med guldlack. Den är metoden användes i Japan för att laga keramik (kintsugi på japanska). Detta gör det troligt att föremålet tidigare tillhört en japansk samling. De skickligt gjorda lagningarna tillförde ofta det lagade kärlet en ny estetisk kvalitet. Snarare än att dölja skadan sattes den på detta sätt i fokus och skapade en ny estetisk dimension åt det lagade föremålet.

Den här flaskan är formad som den typ av oljeflaska som användes till förvaring av växt- eller djurbaserad matlagningsolja. Mynningen tillslöts med en propp och ett snöre kunde knytas runt halsen så att flaskan kunde förvaras hängade på köksväggen.

안니 칼박 소장 (구입)
안니 칼박은 1958년부터 1962년까지 서울에 위치한 국립중앙의료원에서 근무했던 덴마크인 의사 카이 알고트 칼박 (1909-1992) 박사의 아내이다. 국립중앙의료원은 스칸디나비아의 스웨덴, 덴마크, 노르웨이 3국과 국제연합한국재건단 그리고 한국 정부가 협력하여 설치 및 운영한 공공의료원이다. 스웨덴은 한국전쟁 기간 동안 그리고 그 이후에 부산에 위치한 스웨덴 적십자 야전병원을 운영한 것의 연장선상에서 국립중앙의료원에 기여한 것이었다. 한국에 거주하면서 칼박 박사는 삼국시대부터 조선시대까지 다양한 연대를 아우르는 고고학적 그리고 민족지학적 자료와 예술품을 포함하여 500여 점의 유물을 수집했는데, 이들은 골동품점에서 구입했을 것으로 추정된다. 안니 칼박도 같은 시기에 동일한 골동품점으로부터 개별적으로 유물들을 입수했을 것으로 짐작된다. 덴마크로 귀국한 후, 칼박 박사는 수집품들을 덴마크국립박물관에 기증했다. 안니 칼박의 90여 점의 수집품은 1987년 동아시아박물관에서 구입했는데, 여기에는 고려시대 청동 유물, 삼국, 고려, 조선시대에 걸친 다양한 도자기 유물과 조선시대 회화 40여 점이 포함되어 있다. 특히 이 컬렉션의 입수는 그 당시 동 박물관에서 소장품이 많지 않던 한국 회화 부문의 공백을 메우는 중요한 계기가 되었다.

Anni Kalbak's collection (purchased)
Anni Kalbak (born Anni Steinert Sørensen) was the wife of Dr. Kaj Algot Kalbak (1909–1992), a Danish medical doctor, who worked as chief physician and head of the Department for Clinical Microbiology at the National Medical Center in Seoul from 1958 to 1962. The establishment of the National Medical Center (NMC) was a joint medical project between the Scandinavian countries, the UNKRA (United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency) and the Korean government. The Swedish contribution to the NMC was a continuation of the Swedish Red Cross Hospital in Busan that was operated during and after the Korean war (1950–1958). While living in Korea, Dr. Kalbak built a collection of over 500 objects, including archaeological and ethnographic material and art objects, from a period spanning from the Three Kingdoms period (57 BCE–668 CE) to the Joseon dynasty (1392–1910) that he presumably purchased from antique shops. It can be assumed that Anni Kalbak acquired objects for her own collection during this time, perhaps from the same shops. After returning to Denmark, Dr. Kalbak donated his collection to the National Museum of Denmark. Anni Kalbak’s collection of more than 90 objects was purchased by the Museum of Far Eastern Antiquities in 1987. Her collection includes bronze objects from the Goryeo dynasty (918–1392), a great variety of ceramic objects from the Three Kingdoms period, and the Goryeo and Joseon dynasties, and a collection of over 40 paintings from the Joseon dynasty. Especially the acquisition of the painting collection held significance for the Museum as there were not many Korean paintings in the collection up to that time.
